About Me
Born and raised in Britain, I have since embraced Germany as my second home and became a dual citizen of these countries in 2018. In my private life, I enjoy raising my two bilingual children in the south of Munich and have deep attachments to both my English and German families and friends. I am fully immersed in both cultures and my linguistic, cultural and specialist expertise ensures that your message will not get lost in translation. Every translation is an accurate and faithful equivalent of the original text.
Since qualifying as a state-certified translator for English and German, I remain committed to continuing my professional development. Language, technology and expert knowledge is constantly changing. Therefore, it is important to stay abreast of these changes, either through private study or by participating in specialist seminars and webinars, such as those provided by the German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ).
When I am not working, I love the great outdoors and have a keen interest in travelling and exploring the world. However, I also enjoy hiking, cycling, going on my SUP or just relaxing at a local lake when at home. I am also an active Ultimate player, which is a fast-moving team sport played with a disc, and have had the honour and privilege of representing both Great Britain and later Germany in National Ultimate teams all around the globe, winning several gold and silver medals.
