I provide the following services:
I will do more than merely render your German texts into English words. Adhering to the native speaker principle, I only offer translations into my native language English. As a result, I can translate your German texts into natural, flowing English in a style appropriate to the text, its intended use and target audience while avoiding common linguistic pitfalls. Thanks to my specialist training as a state-certified translator as well as ongoing continuous professional development, I have detailed expert knowledge of my specialist subjects. By using translation memory software, I can ensure accurate and consistent translations. I always flag up any ambiguities with my clients as mistakes in a translation can have serious consequences.

I accept texts in various formats including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. If you have other formats, such as JPG, GIF, PDF, your translation will be delivered as a Word file.
Documents and information provided by you will always be treated in strictest confidence.
As a publicly appointed translator for English sworn in by the President of the Regional Court of Munich I, I can provide certified translations of your official documents for relevant German authorities or courts. I am bound to maintain an obligation of confidentiality pursuant to § 189 (4) of the German Courts Constitutions Act [Gerichtsverfassungsgesetz] and must faithfully and dutifully translate your written text into English in its entirety.
Examples of documents that often require a certified translation include:
- commercial register extracts
- birth certificates
- marriage certificates
- death certificates
- school or university certificates
- employment references
- certificates of good conduct
- driver’s licences
Please note that is always advisable to check in advance whether the competent authority, court or consulate has any special requirements for a certified translation. For example, some countries require that the court (in my case, the Regional Court of Munich I) confirms that I am a publicly appointed translator, which costs about €25.
I can also edit and proofread your English texts. Proofreading involves checking and correcting the grammar, punctuation and spelling in the text, whereas editing also involves factors such as reviewing the style, structure and consistency of the text.
As a qualified CELTA teacher, I also offer private tuition for adults and school pupils. My lessons are specifically tailored to your individual requirements – whether this is gaining confidence when using the English language at work, preparing for a presentation or meeting or improving your grades at school. Whatever your age, level or needs, I can help improve your language skills.
